    Watched this last night.

Low budget but very funny and enjoyable, Bruce Campbell rocks - great Elvis take-off.

I've got to say I hated this film when a housemate recommended it. I found it painfully ponderous, unfunny and dull. I was left reading the DVD case in disbelief at all the awards it won or was nominated for. Probably one of the worst films I've ever seen to be honest!

Anyway....its all a matter of opinion isn't it, feel free to hammer my Jim Carrey thread!

Spot on T-Bone. The idea of Elvis at a retirement home as an Elvis impersonator was excellent.

I thought the film was original and just what great B movies used to be. Nice to see a film being independantly funded getting some recognition.

When films get nominated for loads of awards then expectation can be high, I was sort of brought up watching cheap B movie horror flicks so I thought this was a nice return to how things used to be.

The idea was fine. I'm certainly not the type to baulk at anything that isn't straight down the line Hollywood. I just found it to be soooo slooow. I'm of the opinion that even the worst storyline can still produce a film that flows and holds the attention but this one didn't manage either quality for me. Not because it was low budget, just because it was slow. For me it wasn't the triumph of film making as trumpeted on the back of the DVD.
Anyway you chaps enjoyed it and customers on Amazon liked it so it must have sold a few copies.

Idea was good and some parts very funny. However, it was slow in other parts, but ultimately didnt make the most of the idea.
