    Hi Amir.

What do you mean by risk and safe? Do you mean as in, the amp may be faulty? Or are you concerned about buying it off an individual rather than through a dealer and possibly being ripped off?

I've bought a few things s/h with no problems regarding faulty kit. The only problem I've had was being scammed out of p+p costs. Where is your friend looking to buy the amp? Through a web site? (ebay, hififorsale, the classifieds on here etc....).

The best way is to always request to collect in person. That gives you the chance to see the kit up and running, and ensure no damage occurs in the post.

Also, make sure he knows exactly what he's buying! Ask about the condition, is it still under warranty (get reciepts), any previous problems, original packaging, etc....

Common sense should keep you clear from most problems.

And remember, if something looks too good to be true, chances are, it is!

just use common sense and bargains can be found, although its a risk you wont like the product due to not being able to demo,so get the product at a price you can sell on
