For example, when yer auditioning what gear to buy, how do ya "measure" what sounds best? Do ya need a readout on a scientific device to tell ya?

Dude, some things in hi-fi (and elsewhere) are discovered only by listening, and also by havin' the necessary knowledge and experience to know what to listen for...................as demonstrated in yer tale about mitral stenosis...............................
