Just found a great looking DIY screened mains idea today,( decibel Dungeon was the site / link ).

It uses two lengths of low loss coax cable with 1.25mm centre conductor,..

One conductor is for neutral, the other is the live, and the braided copper screens of each length are joined / connected at the 13 amp socket end,..expanding outer sleeve is used to cover the two coaxs and regular 13 amp and IEC plugs can be used with a bit of modding to accomodate the OD of the cables,...
( Cable FT 125 in Maplin catalogue ,...99 pence per mtr ).

I'm going to start gathering the gear tomorrow,.... should be interesting !

    Captain,
That sounds just like the cables I made up over the Xmas break.
One for amp one for CDP.
I made them 2.0m long after Zanash mentioned length was important:)
They were a great improvement on the normal cable and gave the kind of leap of sound improvement that I got when I borrowed a megabucks mains cable set made by Mr A.
