    Ok. All cables, ever made, in the history of hi-fi are sh*te apart from the ones i make.
    That should get a few replies.

    My ha'penny worth.

    Phono / digi interconnect;
    Make em yourself out of HT100 Sat signal cable and use Canare RCA plugs.

    Speaker cables;
    Use the TNT ubytes receipe
    http://www.tnt-audio.com/clinica/ubyte2e.html

    Mains cables;
    Lapp Öflex classic 110 CY 3G 2,5

    Just my small contribution in the great cable debait.

    The rest is fairy dust and marketing;)

    How about single ended versus balanced - that should get the juices going - have been a long time fan of balanced now decided prefer single ended. . . . . . . . . . .

    yes - lets go! as Henry Root used to say.

    Cables work in all systems and the rule of thumb is ...."the more expensive, the better" Some older visitors of this site, will try to disagree, but generally, their hearing is less effecient than most of us. They will usually witter on about "no difference, no difference.." but this is a very simple smokescreen for their lack of hearing / understanding the fine nuances that cables improve. Basically speaking, a cable of a thousand pounds is a thousand times better than a cable worth a quid. Try it! I did and found that price has a direct correlation to improvement. Also , be wary of those quoting letters in discussion about cables..." x y z a b " are the most common coded messages for those whose ears are rendered useless. Someone who cant hear properly will always use these letters in their posts...This is a code to communicate with fellow "oldies" whose telephone calls cannot be completed, due to their lack of hearing. There is also a correlation between the lack of hearing, and blindness, as many of the hard of hearing keep requesting to be tested for blindness. They will often request "blind tests", though we with good sight still dont fully understand their significance. In conclusion, spending more money = better sounding cables.

    No, I don't wonder any more. I just wanted to check out, if here hapened the same thing, as at my home forum. Well, in the HI-FI world is everywhere the same old neverending story about cables.
    Anyway, all I can say about this is, I heard differences between cables with my own ears. Silver, copper, RCA, XLR, many differences in sound and none of them is the ultimate cable, to act as there were no cable at all.

    Mine's completely silent without them:confused:

    I'd like to remind everyone of the result of this poll. Like others, I have little doubt about where this thread will go, so please ensure you are thick skinned if you wish to enter this debate.
