    Hi all!
Just found the forum and having a read through everything.
Seems to be a lot of discussion over parts and cables and I just wanted to let you all know I've spent most of my life looking for electronic parts and cables and have a huge library of information. Your welcome to ask if your stuck for component parts etc!
Also, for a living, I build cables - all sorts. Right now I have had some cable made for me for a mains lead. This is custom stuff, silver OFC cores, foil screen, silver OFC drainwire, silver OFC overall braid screen and clear PVC oute jacket. Rated at 1mm sq. / 10A. What a difference it made to my system! see attachment.
If I can offer any help with locating electronics or cables get in touch.

Is that " silver ofc " silver plated oxygen free copper ....?

I have to say that plated copper has never been one I could get on with .....Just for me seems to bring out the worst traits of each. But I've not used such a big spofc csa for mains.

What's the gear your running them with ?...........

Funny, I just finished making some speaker cables myself. I got 25m of solid core copper cable from B&Q for £8.48. I then braided three runs together foe each speaker (I'm doing 3-way tri-amped). It doesn't look quite so flash as other cables (a lot of heat-shrink would soon fix that!) but it sounds perfect!
