Yup went unsold on Ebag, but Audio Salon put him intouch with a buyer, I think these are the same ones As have listed in their second hand shop at £8.5K, not a huge market for them but they sound aout of this world. Wish i had the room for them, oh and wish I coud afford them.

Not really but you may not do them justice, but should sound ok in semi :) but would prolly need room with little else other than seat and Hifi.

is that the 107's if so then sorry the impressions waste them in everyway, but still the 107's are sublime, great speaker, pair came up on ebay recently but already had my expressions, which also I think are better than 107's but then thats my taste.

Oh and it's way better than what Bub has Ian, but unfortunately **** don't make a stand for them, these are seriously good speakers and have to be heard to be believed, anyone with that kind of money to spend should audition them, sound great with valves.

Bass response, these are flat to 22HZ Ian, very very transparent, very fast, lots of texture, amazing dynamics, I'm not very good a describing audio, try and listen to them sometime, treble is way better sweeter no distortion, amazing imaging, oh and no amps glued to the back allowing you to chose your own amlificaation, pretty sure the guy that has them was using Sugden MC and that is a marriage made in heaven.

For those who haven't heard ART speakers, they will surprise you, only things James thought was wrong with mine, was Needed mana(obviously), and the lower midrange was slightly recessed compared to ATC Mid (but that may be a matter of taste).

And unlike eggleston works (which BTW Tony is 2 words)they are made of wood and easyish to move around.

I was being mildly sarcastic. For the money I paid for the Kefs they are great value, but there are undoubtedly considerably more heavyweight modern alternatives. Those Impressions look good, I like the vibe they give off of classy PA gear mixed with Hifi. For this reason alone I'm surprised Merlin hasnt tried a pair ;).

To be honest I've never been impressed with neither the Sugden Masterclass amps nor cd player, but perhaps the partnering speakers were the problem? I'd like to get a chance to hear a pair of Impressions.

Quite. All a matter of taste.

Are you saying that the treble on ATCs suffers distortion?

As I understood things, Bub's is THE only system suffering no distortion whatsoever? :)

No, and I have only heard Bub's which off course are almost entirely distortion free due to all that **** apparently, he was the one that said speakers distoted badly sans mana.

again Ian not knocking the 100's I just think ART do it better, in fact I prefer mine to bub's never mind their more focussed big brothers, it is down to taste Ian, but if you ever get a chance to hear a pair, I do think they will surprise you.

Greg I'm not knocking the 107, kinda lusted after them when they were available, stunning speaker and amazing bass, but with so many drivers, the ARTs seem to integrate slightly better, with superb imaging, they really do disappear, but thats what I like you may be different.

Basically not knocking any other speeks here, all good AFAIC, just ART seem to make speeks which suit my taste, if more people could hear these then they would be more popular, many people have tried them, and the ones that don't buy are often the badge collectors, put that aside and they offer texture detail, speed and scale that others charge you a lot more for.

I suppose it's like WM's crusade with Mlarks people if you are in the market for some new speeks then try ART, they also make a new range with the expression/impression drivers in a floorstanding veneered box, and while good don't quite come up to the mark, compared with the seperate box versions, the Skibo's at their price will see off other speaks up to 2.5K takes something like martin logans or OB1's to give them a riun for their money.

Don't take my word for it listen yourself.
