Sounds good but the arm will no go below parallel because the cueing bar prevents it from going any lower, as a result the arm board is below the platter and points up so that the stylus comes into contact with the record. Also, the counterweight is hanging right off the end of the holder to maintain a 2g tracking force. i'm begining to think that somehow the pivot point is too low and too far forward. please someone help before the whole lot ends up in me wheelie bin covered with broken egg shells, baked beans and a split tea bag.

This is odd - mine is fine, as you can see in the photo. No problems balancing out the Kontrapunkt B, either.

Nope, my arm points up when the cueing arm is completely down. The pivot point must be too low. Can I adjust this?

I had the same problem initially when I set mine up,partly because I never read instructions! If I remember rightly it can be sorted by adjusting the height of the arm by loosening the arm using the grub screw at its base and raising it to the required level. Then re tighten.Hope this helps.

Or see if you can lower the cueing arm, they can also normally be adjusted with a small screw.

cueing bar is as low as it can go, i need to raise the pivot point in relation to the arm mounting.

Can you post a photo of the arm setup? I can't see how the pivot can be at the wrong height, and feel that there must be a straightforward explanation and solution to your problem.
