Caps

Im changing some caps in a psu. Values are 1000uF and a couple of 470uf, voltage 16v - 35v.

My local supplier has:
Rubycon YXF
Elna RE3
Nichicon UPS
Panny EC

Any of these a worthwhile upgrade on standard Jamicons??

A psu for what analogue or digital?, and how close is the cap to the Regulators?

 

The psu schem is posted on here, a few threads down. Its for the MF pre. I want to have a play with whats there first. The entire PCB is about 4" x 6" so everything is close.

 

I'd go for the RUBY'S OR THE PANNYS, I've had good upgrades with pannys even when most people think there little better than standard, implimentation is the key.
If fact I use NO black gates at all in any of the work I do usless specifically ask too

 

What do you think about those I mentioned against some Elna's from RS?

 

People get good results with elna's, especially the cerafines. You could try teh panny TSHC's if its a 10mm spacing these are very unrated and pretty good

 

Thanks WM. Ive gone for Panny FC's mainly with some Elna's in certain places where I think they'll make the biggest difference. I had a good measure last night and Ive managed to up the values on most of the caps. We'll see, its all good fun.
