Does anyone know of any good car sharing schemes. I've just registered on a couple of online sites... liftshare.com and mylifts.com but they're not that good for long one off journeys.

I want to go from West Wales to london and back this weekend if anyones going!?

Oh dear, poor response. Doesn't look like car sharing is anywhere near solving our transport issues then!

The Rough Guide to Car Sharing

"There are some very active car sharing schemes in most large cities. You can go to any sink estate and find them operating under the acronym 'TWOC'.

TWOC'ing is particularly popular with teenagers. There is a wide variety of vehicles on offer, though the vehicle of choice does favour the small family hatch or saloon rather than larger estate cars, so TWOC'ing when you have a wardrobe or bed to move can be a little tricky. You'll also find that the end destination may vary from your original plan, so be prepared to be flexible.

Many TWOC journeys end with a warming bonfire. This is a great opportunity to swap stories and immerse yourself in the local culture. Other TWOC'ers have reported the additional benefit of an evenings accommodation including breakfast and in invitation to extend that stay on a more permanent basis."

    :D ;) ;) ;) Hex

Ah yes thanks Hex, I'll take a gift of a Burberry cap to show my appreciation.
