Since we are at it, with demags and carts chat coming up a lot, I thought I'd ask before I go and buy some...

Which cart cleaning product(s) do you use/recommend? Last? Clearaudio? Homebrew?

Any tips very welcome. I see a raft of them around so I wonder which has the preference here/what results you've been having.

    Thanks everyone!

I use the brush I got with my Denon. My mother in law used a duster this week. It cleaned the cantilever right off!

I use a little pot of silicone-type thick gunk. You lower the arm onto the surface, the stylus sticks in a bit. When you lift it, gunk from the tip is pulled off. IIRC it is Clear Audio but I could be wrong.

ONZOW ZERODUST? Thats similar, it could be that. Very good, and when it gets crapped up you can wash it! NIce.

Yes, that's the same as the Onzow ZeroDust. I use the ZeroDust too. It didn't come with instructions how to clean it - I found out by dumb luck that you just take out the clear sticky piece and run it under the tap - cleans it likea charm!

    ;)

Nice tip. And you can do silly things with it too...even if it's not quite the same thing, but if you say it works...

dab of isopropyl alcohol on a small brush going from back to front....and you can use the rest to clean your lp's [1:3 with deionised water and a drop of wetting agent]
