    This may help
    http://www.nef.org.uk/logpile/

We have a Morso, installed 18 months ago. In April this year I bought 1000 logs, from one of the suppliers listed. These have been drying further and this winter our fires have been so much better in terms of ease of lighting and glass browning.

Chris don't assume its bad logs, I have very well seasoned wood and it will stick chock up the window, ignore everything the manual says no matter what technology it apparently has the window will still chock up.

You need to burn it real hot all the time to keep the window clean and thats just not possible.

Graham - thanks for the link - found the most local supplier to me so i'll give em a call.

Gary - yep - you could wel be right - quick re-read of the destructinos last night does state a good hot fir is the best way to clear tar type stuff off the glass - time to bank up the logs then open all doors and windows, whilst sitting in the lounge wearing now but our swimming cossies! then again we have floor to ceiling windows.......

    Chris, don't melt yourself!

We tend to leave the fire in when we are out, then have it open doors at night time, you will most likely go the same way as a closed down fire gets mightly bloody warm!
