Cathode Bias Resistors

    Am pondering on which species of resistor to use in the Cathode Bias stage in a no holds barred amp refurb and would appreciate some recommendations for some Top Cat resistors that have made noticeable sonic improvements over the 20p usual suspects.

    Specs ~ 470 ohms 1% @ 6-12 watts (Or better) also some 50 Ohms Ditto

    Company n Materials Info please !

    Was considering some Precision Wire Wounds :confused:

    Non-Inductive Wirewound are the thing. Mills, Dale Ohmite, Sprague do make them but don't know if they do the size you want.

    Thanks LL :) I was looking at some Mills Non-Inductive 12 watt wirewound's that looked nice ~ then I clocked the price @ £4.40 + vat a pop !!!! nice at 1% tho
