Hi all, CD player help request here:
    • JVC UX-D750
I previously had random occurrences of pausing/skipping during play. I've already repeated the same routine over the past months and it usually helps out:
    • Cleaning laser lens
    • Cleaning and greasing rails
However, I did this again today, and now the player is much louder during playback. A squeaky sound when the laser is starting up, constant low hum scratching throughout. Everything looks fine, the rails are clean and recently greased, CDs fit fine in the tray, etc. Even when it is paused (and the laser shouldn't be moving) it still makes the noise. The scratching stops for the brief moment when I change tracks manually, and then starts up again as soon as the track plays.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance
