Of course, just like cables, mains stuff, digital cables, etc there will be unbelievers, and that's fine.

However, I've just got some in, after being shown the effect a/b (between two copies of the same disc, one with green pen, one without, and also doing before/after listening on a couple of discs, while wearing my sceptic hat (subsequently eaten)).

This stuff works. There are sound physical reasons why it should (and I'm saying that as someone who specialised in semiconductor material and device theory), and the effect is definately audible.

How would I characterise it? Cleaner... clearer, more focused. There is more definition throughout the frequency range, with more textures, weight and punch in the bass and greater transparency in the mids.

These being...(and I'm sure nothing to do with semiconductor material and device theory). And if you think you detect a total unbeliever, you do!

Not me, ol' spud. If people hear improvements with things like this (cables, power leads, stands, wooden cones, etc., etc., etc.), I'm perfectly happy for them to do so, just as long as they don't elevate it to a law of the universe that we all have to hear. Having been through the Mana/power lead business and heard precisely zilch from either, I naturally take all these things with an enormous bag of salt. However, I'm glad Isaac's happy with it and derives benefit from it. At least it'll be cheaper than a rubbishy Eupen that won't even bend properly.

    Isaac
was it one of those audiophile green pens or an ordinary green marker pen?
I must admit i have never tried it, considered but not tried.
But the physics of it do make sense, laser light being red and the pen being green. Opposite colours, it would, in theory cancel stray light.
So im not so much a sceptic or disbeliever as someone waiting for a reliable witness to report:D

I always have an open mind, though slightly Sceptical. That way i never make sweeping statements, which i cannot go back on, like others do.

 ...is Lobster Sperm also green?
    Does it smell good? :D
When I come to visit you let's try it. ... oh I meant listen to it, of course. :D
    Of course blind test!!

    Isaac,
good if it works at your place. Can you tell me what green pen is used.
I might try it at my place and see if my system and me are good enough to hear a difference.

If people want to try one -

I carefully bought an identical but unbranded equivelant.

You can try it for postage cost, and send it on to someone else for trying if you want.

I couldnt detect any difference for the life of me, but I know some people swear by them.

PM me if you want to play pass-the-parcel !

Isn't it amazing how these "psychoacoustic" effects are so consistent?

Seems more like one of those products where people either swear by it, or try it and dismiss it as a hoax!

    (cant see any consistency myself!)

just goes to show that the only ears that matter are the ones on the side of your head...

friends, romans, countrymen - use your own f**kin ears! :D :)

Thats what i am saying. The program just showed, if a person said something there are always people who will agree, not to look stupid. I always try to make up my own mind and not be influenced by others.
