I ordered several items from them on December 14th, in time for their Christmas delivery cut off date.

Included in these items were two copies of the current Nick Drake box set. One copy turned up in good time along with the other items.

However... The other copy didn't and when checking my order status, it wasn't even marked as sent. Awaiting dispatch.
I sent them an email to pointthis out and hoped it would still arrive in time for Christmas. Could they let me know if there would be a delay so I could arrange an alternative present.

Response was not enough information, please provide details. I did this immediately.

No reply... another email sent.

Christmas came and went... no reply.... another email sent.

No reply.... another email sent....

I sent another one yesterday simply saying "do you have any intention of replying to my emails? Do you have any intention of completing this order?"

Reply...

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, we have now exhausted all of our remaining stock of this item and it has now been deleted. We do not have any immediate plan to reintroduce it and a refund has been processed back to your card. Sorry for the disappointment caused by this - I sincerely hope it will not deter you from visiting our site again in the near future. Kind Regards

I'd checked to see if it was still in stock several times after my order and it was listed each time. It seems they've cocked up my order, and probably sold my stock to someone else.

I have never felt the need to send a "letter of complaint" before, so this is quite an achievement on their part.

Delays over Christmas, or even out of stock items wouldn't have put me off using the site, but the completely crap customer service has. I wont be trusting them with my MOney again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone else in future.

Annoyed.

I've had to cancel one order from cd wow as it was still 'awaiting stock' (or similar) about 4 weeks after I ordered it, but generally they've been pretty good so far for me, and I had no problem with their email response times when cancelling that order - mind you I bet they were pretty busy over Xmas so that might explain why they were slack for you....maybe? Not much of an excuse though I have to admit.
 
The worst one I had was a CD I ordered from Amazon. I was given 6-8 weeks as the delivery time, then when that was up I was informed it would be another 6-8 weeks. Then when that was up, ANOTHER 6-8 weeks. At this point I emailed them and they said "We don't have it, sorry."

The irony was that the CD title was "Long Time Coming".
 
yeah, I ordered a copy of 'it's a wonderful life' on the 10th dec as my lady hadn't seen it before (from an ebay shop based in china) - that still hasn't arrived...I mailed them and they told me to be patient!
 
i ordered from cd wow once, the payment auto jumped my old address from my paypal account without giving me the option to change it.

resulting in me never ever seeing the cd's.... wankrs

My email recieved a quick response with something approaching a half decent apology. Also sent me a £2 voucher.

I still don't think I'll be trusting them with my pennies again though.
