I closed the thread because, frankly, I'm not thrilled with the idea of paying for a forum to allow people to push ill-informed anti-UN propaganda. Every reply to that thread brought the quote (and link) from that objectionable blog to the top of the thread lists, spreading the misinformation it's spouting to an ever increasing audience.
I wasn't aware that the thread had been closed until I read Andy's thread entitled 'Post Deletion'. Of course, it's your forum and you can choose to close whatever threads you see fit. However, I have to say that closing this thread ('Day 16 since the Tsunami and the UN has distributed ZERO on the ground') shows a lack of judgement and merely illustrates your own bias and prejudice. You have stated that the Diplomad site is ill-informed, anti-UN propaganda yet you haven't given any substantive evidence that this is so. Nor have you made any effort to deny the substance of its claims. Of course, as Andy said, it was totally inappropriate for you to compare criticisms of the UN's performance following the tsunami disaster with those who deny the occurrence of the Nazi Holocaust. I started the thread in question and, although it may have been a little controversial, it certainly prompted people to think for themselves. As people thinking for themselves is clearly something that you don't feel comfortable with on this forum, I will not be taking any further part in Zero Gain. I hope that anyone who wishes to contact me in the future will know where to find me. Thank you Michael, for the work that you have put into this forum. I have enjoyed my visits here and considered this forum my natural home in hi-fi. It is with regret that I leave.
