I'm using this. But it does not come cheap.

I like the Le Corbusier (the one YNMOAN uses) too, but you don't want to be too tall otherwise your feet will hang out, and it does not have arm rests. Not practical if you also want to use it as a reading chair.

I’m 6ft tall and I fit OK but a really tall person may not. I normally have a sofa in the music room but it's at another house at the moment. The Corbusier normally lives in the lounge - it was really bought as a design statement but has turned out to be very comfortable indeed.

If anybody does wan't to buy one the one on PFM for £200 is a good buy - I've not seen that actual one but £200 is cheap.

200 quid sounds dirt cheap. But beware, lots of cheap copies around, cheap leather (does not age well), cheap base. The original costs 1950 euro in France (£ 1450 approx.).

I have a Stressless recliner purely for my music listening and highly recommend them. Pricey but nice. The thing is i more often than not fall asleep in it and miss some of the tunes.

The secret is to have a room witha couch to yourself. Then you can sit up ,lie down, pick your nose, break wind...........

Welcome to the 80's or what. That chair looks awful.

Best chairs for listening are those that only come up to shoulder height so as not to create reflections directly behind the ears.

1956 actually. Another example of the lack of progress in the last half century.

Shinobi that chair is a design classic, famous around the globe - not some sort of 80s mistake.

    I'd love one :)

oh dear.. how wrong you are....

thats a copy of a Charles Eames chair, and one of the most classic designs in contemporary furniture. I would love to grace my home with one of them.

A chair so cool, they even had one on the TV show Frasier.

As long as your comfortable and you ears are roughly at tweeter level with a clear path it doesn't matter what you listen on / in.

Looks of course are subjective as is sound.
Reflections behind the ears ... yeah right, bet you'd like to think you could hear the difference. The reality is a cloth cover would have practicaly zero reflection and leather (maybe leatherete) would only reflect such a tiny amout that it hitting your ear would be negliable. Your breathing would probably cause much more interferance.

    LOL!

    Lesson: don't post after a night-cap.

That should read an 8 stone old english sheepdog at my feet NOT 8 stoned old english sheepdogs at my feet.
