Cheap CD Player With Optical Out

    I'm looking for a very cheap CD player to use as a transport, the plan being to run it through my minidisc player (20bit DAC) - only requirements are that it must be in good condition, ideally remote control and have an optical (not digital coax) output.

    Please let me know if you have any bargains knocking about in the bottom of the wardrobe either on here or send me a PM if you'd like to be more discrete :D

    I have heard that a lot of people have had good results using a sony playstation 1 as transport

    pick up an old technics 480 or 580 or something off ebay... solidly built, never heard of any transport issues on them, and they have optical outs (i think)
