    Hi

not exactly a true hi-fi question but grateful for any help here. A colleague of mine needs some speaker cable to connect up his Bose system (no idea what he's got exactly) and needs it flat so he can hide it easily under the carpet. He keeps being pushed some £20 a metre stuff by a dealer but no way can he justify that. Something up to £5 a metre would be fine I guess.

    Any recommendations and sources appreciated.

    Cheers

I use QED Micro - not totally flat, but pretty easy to run over long lengths. Cost me about £1.75 /metre. I've also terminated each end with Ixos banana plugs to make connecting easier and to stop cable freying. This should do the trick.

I use the flat QED cable and the micro and there's not much in it. The flat stuff is fine if you don't have any corners to wrap round but if you've got fireplaces etc. then the micro is easier to tuck away.
