    hi guys,
i need some cheap head phones. £25 poundish.im not looking for a grado or stax equivilant i just need phones to listen to music whilst other ppl watch the footie. they do gotta be comfortable cos i usually drift off into snooze land whilst listening to music and i dont want colliflower ears as a result....

so if youve just upgraded or you have an old pair in the attic give me a shout.

can pay with pay pal, cheque, cod, postal order.

or collect if you live next door.

ive tried e bay but most headphones ive looked at were either 30 yrs old or more expencive than high street shops.

my neighbours will be most thankfull.

    cheers,

    Rob.

yea man sounds good. what are they like to listen to, i do listen to a lot of jazz but i guess for 25 squids i can really be fussy.

how do you want me to pay for them? if you use pay pal i think i could get the money to you straight away,i might be able to pay through on line banking (lloyds) but i think you need a lloyds account as well.or we could go through the more traditional route and i can send you a postal order...

    cheers,

    Rob.

Paypal would be good - [email protected] (remove NOSPAM).

What are they like to listen to? Well, apparently very much like baby HD580's (i havent heard the 580s however) and they are very easy to drive (high sensitivity, low impedance). They have a typical Sennheiser style laid back sound with smooth treble and warm bass (considering price). They have a removable and replacable cable, and they are not too bad for comfort. Seems a shame to keep them around when they never get used.

If your interested, PM me with your address and just send payment via paypal to the above address.

I had the HD495's and they were truly awful in many ways, the bass been way of blown so it boomed on anything like dance music, I heared the HD497's and they didn't suffer from the same problem so I am amusing they use better drivers.

Paypall is fine I use it all the time, its probably safer than using a cheque because you get some kind of come back with paypal if things go wrong, just make sure that person has a confirmed address.

It may also be worth checking out (cough) Richer Sounds they some times do some great deals on headpohnes.

I am glad they got there ok.

What do you reckon of them anyway?

One thing I'd like to mention, is that if one of the cans crackles or goes intermittent, its because the cable is not connected properly (happens from time to time). Its resolvable by unplugging the cable from the can and plugging it back in. Having said that, it hadnt done it in over a year prior to the sale. They are not dodgy though, that is a common Sennheiser trait believe it or not.

    their wikkid paul,
i havent listened to head phones for many years and its a realy nice experience.well put it this way, i was up to 4.30 this morning listening to records.they do sound very spacious, realy nice.
i have noticed the one earphone crackling on and off though,so how do you go about unplugging the cable?id acctually forgotten about it until you mentioned it.my soldering iron had crossed my mind last night.its not that bad though as it only happened the once.yea but all in all im pleased with them, they sound and look quite good and it means i can listen to music during the night which i am very pleased about.

    cheers,

    Rob.

For easy replacement. Someone actually suggested that contact spray might help with that problem, but I was too lazy to get any.
