I'm about to wire up a system in my kitchen and need some cheap speaker cable to fnish it off. The'll be runs to the kitchen speakers, some bathroom ceiling speakers and outside to the patio speakers. Probably need about 50m in total.

I've been looking on ebay but it's difficult to tell if it's crap or not.

Any advice? Doesn't need to be good but then again, I don't want it to be rubbish either

To shoot a speaker current that far I would look at UBTYE-2
    See
    http://www.tnt-audio.com/clinica/ubyte2e.html

Uses ultra low loss Satellite cable configured in a clever way.
It is quite bulky at 2X6mm. You can use the twinned stuff and don't worry about removing the PVC covering - use it as it is.
    I got mine here.

look for WF100 foam Shotgun twin coaxial cable

Plain old cable will carry current but what of the complex analogue signal?

A friend of mine installed 2x10m of this I made up for him and is very happy.
I have 2 x 6m and it is the best sounding cable I have tried - been a few trials!

just for reference, the cable has arrived and it looks alright. Not tried it yet but it looks well made and should be fine.
