    This seems like a long shot and is a dull subject, but I'll ask anyway;

    I need to buy a cheap 2nd hand van and was wondering if anyone can recommend a make/model to look out for. I don't need a big van so it can be one of those car based vans, but it needs to be able to carry a fair bit of weight (big lumps of stone in fact).

    Cheap and reliable, budget up to £1500.

    ...be handy for picking up big old speakers as well, hur hur.

    Cheers for the tip, I'll keep an eye or two peeled (although I'd need a truckman top to go with it.......)

    Fiesta Courier diesel van - 1800 non-turbo is OK if a bit slow but fine for cheaply carting paving slabs etc about - my better half purchased an old N reg for £500 about a year ago for the gardening business and its been reliable and "cheap as chips".
