That is until the thing decides that all track 1s are evil and skips around until finally giving up and going straight to track 2 (thats what mine did after 10 months anyway)

Do you think the above means that he is inadvertantly using the Yammie as a transport only, i.e. not using the phono outs and using the player through the DAC in the CDRW (so he might as well get rid of the Yammie altogether)?
