I had one of them send me an email about the D30. I gave them my address as 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, DC 20500. They kept asking if the cheque had arrived

AVForums have a stupid (and utterly unjustifiable IMO) policy of not allowing you to advertise elsewhere so they pulled my ad over there

    Absolutely, Michael.

Their moderators are extremely anal about the rules too. Must have way too much time on their hands, as it takes a hell of a lot of time moderate the way they do. I have had posts summarily deleted over there when I was trying to help out someone whose kit wasnt selling.

best bet for a quick usually safe guaranteed sale is ebay, Mike.

dac for £100 or so, yes MF, perhaps audio alchemy...dac in the box, bit long in the tooth, along with dde, cambridge dacmagic or iso, non os dac from the east, good service, not a giant killer but fine, and the midiman. take your pick, I am sure there are others...

I'm sure whenever they have hifi components go on their classified, the first thing they do is check here, HFC and any other forums that exist for hifi just to look for duplicate ads.

    Its pointless and stupid IMO.

yeah, I've been banned for that very reason (placing an add there, here and everywhere...) and they say that if someone makes an off say on here, and on their site - then who gets to buy it..??

well, it's the one who coughs up the most amount of cash...

Ok, can we call a halt to the slinging of mud in the direction of other forums. The policy here is that you can advertise where you like and sell on ebay and put links to your ebay auctions from here. We also have our nice, shiny feedback system to give you some reassurance as to the nature of those you are buying from.
