Chord SPM 800

    I have been offered this amp, but I do not know anything about it, apat from the technical data.
    Any experience? How would you compare it with current models, say SPM 600? Does it have the same switching power supply?

    It is built on the same principles as the current models. I have compared old and new and the newer models seem to be a bit more subtle. They all share the same 'speed' and dynamics. Partner them carefully to avoid brightness/thinness in the mid-high.

    I hope it's not the Bryston kind of brightness. Have you had a chance to compare it to Bryston?
