who for..? - I suspect you may buy different gifts for your girlfriend than what you may get for your dad for example... ;)

Yes you are right and I have to think of everybody. I would give priority to men's gifts at the minute. It is always easier to find for women, (being one). I sort of guess better what my sister or mum would like. :)

Men like gadgets, alcohol and adding things to collections. Find out what they do for a hobby, find out what is missing from the set and get that.

I got one of these for my birthday:

    http://www.laserpod.com/introduction.asp

Really rather special, I have mine by the speakers in the dark it projects red pin donts of light all over the ceiling. I always have it on.

    Here are some Christmas suggestions:

    SHREDDER

Recent tv features highlighted dangers fraud and identity theft. Ideal for the paranoid relative.

    DVD BOX SETS

So cheap from web outlets like play.com Old comedy series from BBC . Fawlty Towers, Black Adder etc. It Ain't Half Hot Mum surprisingly just released. Exciting series that were impossible to follow reliably - like 24 ( now 4 available ), are a great gift and cheap sometimes too.

    FLYING LESSON

That really causes surprise and is memorable for years.

    REMOTE CONTROL DALEK

Young and old might appreciate one !

    WINE BOTTLE OPENER

Slip over and turn. Some even cut the plasic around the neck. Some still struggle with an old T shaped twister. Put them out of their misery.

    CAT AND DOG RELATED

Know someone mad on cats? www.catoutofthebag.com has an amazing array of products. Now incorporating Woof Woof Direct for doggy things. You must get this : http://www.catoutofthebag.com/produ...artPosition=1&strSearchCriteria=all&PT_ID=all
Click on the pic of the Alsatian to see the thing on its own. This could bring tremendous laughs out and about.

WAR OF THE WORLDS - MUSIC CD

Not the film but the 1979 musical project has been done properly this time. And no, I'm not sad.

    PORTABLE DAB RADIO

Look at models by Roberts, Pure and Tivoli
