I'm trying to get hold of a circuit diagram for the Linn Majik 1 integrated amp. Does anybody know where I might be able to obtain a copy?
    Thanks, Mike

Had a ook around but found nothing.
However the question has been addressed on the Linn forum so perhaps take a look and contact Linn via the forum.

It looks like the power amp section of the amp is going to be economically fixable. I remember reading old an old thread somewhere that the power-amp section on this amp could be deactivated if the owner wished to use the unit as a pre-amp only. Since I already have a power amp this seems like the way to go. Does anyone know how to do this power-amp deactivation mod?

If you can kindly send a copy of the schematic we can put it in the library here.

.... and perhaps advise on how to disable the power amp.

I'm very happy to send you a copy but I can't figure out how to send the attachments as the file sizes are too big to be allowed. There are 3 PDF's each around 400kbs. How should I send them?

A friend of mine (who knows what he is doing is) is deactivating the power amp section for me. Thank you for offering to help though.

Incidentally I may have figured out how I blew the power stage in the first place.
My speakers are connected to both my Hi Fi stereo amp and my AV receiver separately with two sets of speaker cable. The AV amp is 'bi-wired' but to a single set of output terminals. When I tried to bi-amp with the Linn amps they where therefore effectively connected through the AV receiver. Could this have done it?

Your Linn is effectively driving the AV amplifier speaker output, which if switched on at the time will present a near short circuit.

    That would definitely do it!

    Never connect amplifier outputs together.

For the schematics, I'll PM the email address for you, and thanks for the files :)
