In Explorer its easy, just highlight the old search and press delete, doen't work though in Firefox.

Obviously I have safe search switched on because I have a ten yr old using my lappy, but still every search comes up,some I don't want him to see if its a say a christman present I've searched for.

    How do I clear it?

From there you have various options.

If you search for MRU Blaster, that's a useful program for clearing various bits and bobs.

I once got a job to go and clean this Chineese lads computer out, he was a proper harcore Christian always going to church and everything. When I got to his house and saw the amount of porn he had there Christianity wasn't his only hardcore hobby.

He insisted there weren't his - yeah right!

    :D

I recall having to sort out the computer of my mum's friend's son. It was loaded down to the nines with spyware and needless to say, a few porn sites had been visited. Had to try and keep that quiet when both his/my mum asked what the problem with it was. Dad ans I has a good laugh over it though.

Poor dad took a bollocking from my mum recently, as spyware infested their PC with the links to porn sites etc - for the second time. First time she tried to accuse me (yet I'm about 300 miles away) and second time was trying to fish for information from me so that she could point the finger at dad!

I have to laugh: I acquired a compact PC for my folks. They had some difficulties - and I discovered the reason why: my old man had been 'investigating the web' (his words) - aka all sorts of rather risque sites. I then discovered that the Parental Filter has its uses, just not in the way Microsoft imagined.

These days, now that I've come to my senses, I'd give them a modern Mac where they can effectively do no harm regardless of what they do (a blessing for one who is called to support such things when they go wrong)...
