yeah, it happened to my old pc that had windoze 98 with no issues - however, before you make any changes - it's worth locating all data that you want and backing them up somehow first...best to be safe and sorry...

This happens on my home laptop 50% of the time; although funnily enough, not on my work one.

I've just assumed it's XP being shite and hold my finger on the power button.

 

sometimes ithink this stuff happens when you load a bit of stuff on....not all prog seem to be compatable (on the last one win '98 didn't agree a tall with outlook express).

I've tried to be careful witht this one not toload too much on , besuides it just end s up slowing hte processoir down....so not sure what I've done to deserve this......
