Copland pre and power amps

Copland’s current model solid state power amplifier, the CTA 520. This is approx. 7 months old, in excellent condition and complete with all original packaging. This produces 125W x 2 into 8 ohms, but can be bridged for 250W mono (balanced OR single-ended). Check the Copland website (copland.dk) for further details. UHF magazine (no. 66) summed up its review of the 520: ‘The very best solid state amplifier Copland has produced, and by a long margin’. If you hunt around on the web, you’ll find new 520s cost £1300-1700. I’m looking for offers of about £849--a price cut from £899-- including courier delivery. If you have one already and want to get a second 520 to take up the monoblock option, here’s your chance!


Also for sale: one Copland CSA 303 valve preamplifier. This is approx. 6 years old, in very good condition and sounds great. Inputs are: Phono, Tape (loop), CD, Aux 1 and 2. No remote operation is offered with this model. Since I use only the CD and Aux 1 inputs, I can’t tell you anything about the Phono option, although I understand that Copland preamps apparently do not have a setting for low-level moving coil pick-up (whatever that means). Photos available on request. I'm looking for offers of about £349--a price cut from £399-- including courier delivery. This is a very nice Copland valve preamp at a nice price.


If sold together, I'd reduce the price to £1099.
