I prefer to audition dishwahers rather than buying blind like that. Anyway Smeg is such a stupid name.

i think i love my dishwasher almost as much as my hifi. there is some thing lovely and reassuring about lazily loading it with the remanants of the previous evenings boozy dinner party, letting it burbble away for a couple hours...

Well, yes. We had to manage without one for a few months (dishwasher and washing maching packed up the same day, and the washing machine replacement took priority). You should have seen the state of my hands!

They are now, but after weeks of washing up they were red and chapped. Serves me right for using Tesco washing-up liquid instead of Fairy I suppose.

Have you seen Fairy's new 'Naturals' flavours? We're currently on Eucalyptus. Mmmm, eucalyptus.

Oh, and two words, Joe ...

    Kitchen gloves.

Best low cost upgrade you'll find.

    Cheers
    Steve

PS: Have you noticed that Fairy have (finally) entered the dishwasher tablet market. Hopefully this will push the prices down.

The trouble with kitchen gloves is that they introduce a sort of artificial barrier between oneslef and the washing-up. OK for round-earthers maybe, but I found that my toe just wasn't tapping as much when wearing the Marigolds.

I like the sheets you put in the tumble dryer. Nobody's mentioned a tumble dryer yet. Do Smeg make one?

They do little pillow things full of gel which disolve in the water which is good- nothing (probably) more wasteful than those stupid individually wrapped tablets with the plastic you have throw away after unwrapping

... A dozen bottles of drinkable claret?

Comparisons are odorous, but I snaffled the complete works of WA Mozart for £70 t'other day.
