couple of recommendations

    not new stuff, but well worth watching for those who missed out :

    Last King of Scotland - deviates from the book when it doesn't need to, but still very compelling (read the book by Giles Foden afterwards -it's superb)

    Pan's Labyrinth - stunningly well composed and filmed


    ... and while I'm here, can't say I thought much of the latest Harry Potter - found it dull, and it just touhced on many incidents and characters without any meaningful development. I get enough of teenagers looking miserable at home.
