I would like to ask you out there, if anyone has any experience with Creek Destiny integrated + Epos M5 speakers.
Your comments would be highly appreciated.

Epos are owned by Creek now so perhaps they should marry together. Never heard anything bad about both. The rule is always try and listen to them together at home preferably. I think Epos speakers are good value for money IMO.

    Thanks for your feedback.
I was reading some reviews of Epos M5 and that was actually very positive.
Another positive fact is that Creek and Epos are now one company, but, don't ask me why, I have my doubts about Creek electronics.
Does anyone has experience about Creek amplifiers and CDP?

I used to own a Creek CAS4040 (Creek's first amp) back in 1984-1985 and it was really good!!!!

Forgive me for this, but there were lot of companies which had wonderful products in 80' and 90' and today, they are nothing but, well, you know what ;)

Don't know about the latest products, but I have until recently been running a Creek 5250R with Epos ES-11 - great match. I think Mike Creek knows what he is doing so I guess the Destiny/M5 combo would be fine. Personally I would probably save for a set of M12, though.

Do you think that M16i would be a better solution for Creek Destiny amp?

Way back I had a Creek phono stage. It was OK - nowt special, but perfectly respectable.

Creek have been making a play to move up market of late. The effect of this might be beneficial, benign or bothersome. Faced with a brand that is in the process of repositioning itself in the market I would personally disregard all past experience and products and demo any potential purchase.

I really couldn't say as I haven't heard any of these products. However, my gut feeling would be to go with the standmount because I have had so fine results with Epos standmounts in the past (all of the models ES-11, ES-12, and M12).

    Creek Destiny

I have owned a Creek Destiny CD player, Destiny integrated and Epos M22's for while. I would recommend using the integrated to power up to the M16i. I've not heard the new 'i' series but I'm sure its addressed some of the issues I heard in the M series. Despite Creek's claims the integrated could never really control the M22's. If you're after a foot tapping sound that is little warm and forgiving sounding then the epos/creek combo is great. Definitely worth bi-wiring and pseudo bi-amping via the speaker A and B outputs of the destiny integrated.
I've since sold the epos and creek amp but retained the Destiny CD player.

Wow, I'd like to own such a pair of well reviewed ears. Was it based on sound alone, or looks too?
