was wondering if anyone has any views on this tuner? any good?
i have an old sony stst117 that i am using, but its not very detailed at all. the sound is rather compressed too.

also, sad as it may seem, the case work will also go with my existing kit (the dark casework and the green lettering!!) :JPS:

    ta for your thoughts!

Would you please explain what type of Philips chips Creek use?

According to Hi Fi Choice, Naim "using a couple of Sanyo's popular chips for most of the work" for the NAT05, but it sounds good.

    Thanks.

The Creek does sound good, but is a little noisy. I'm saving for a Nat, and if I were you I would too!

    Naim NAT05

I just sold my Naim Nat05 after owning it for over 2 years. Yes it sounds good, but after I bought a Arcam FMJ T21, I found that the Naim is flat and 2 dimensional compared to the Arcam. The Arcam also sounds more airy with a very realistic midrange when listening to Radio 4. From Hi Fi Choice review, both Nat05 and T21 use a Sanyo front end, that's why I asked you what Philips chips Creek uses for their tuners.

I have never listened to the Naim NAT02 or NAT01, so I cannot comment on their sound. The Naim flat earthers really rate these tuners highly.
