This is the same in a hell of a lot of places. When looking to relocate recently I had to rule an awful lot of places out as the local Post Office had either closed or was likely to in the near future (I mail a lot of records so need a post office within walking distance ââ'¬â€œ I usually end up there three or four times a week and I'm buggered if I'm getting a bus just to post some records).

IMHO the whole thing is arse about face ââ'¬â€œ the postal charges are too cheap and for some reason I don't remotely understand are capped ââ'¬â€œ just a couple of pence on the postage rates would have turned the situation around without needing to close the local post office branches and no one would have complained ââ'¬â€œ I certainly wouldn't and I'm a very good customer.
