I'm looking for some help, I currrently have a Trichord Clock 4, and I am looking at changing the Crystal to a different frequency, rather than paying out again.
In short, are all crystals the same ? Or will I have to go direct trichord, or is this something I can buy at Maplins/RSS ? If anyone can help, I know you guys can, feel free to post any links back.

    Cheers

Why not just ask Trichord for a swop (providing you did purchase it from them) I'm sure they will obligue no problems. Wm

Tell me about it. Like WM says I bet trichord will swop for a nominal fee. I was actually going to say you could take the clock of the pioneer but I wasnt sure of the frequency. Give trichord a ring. I'll be interested to hear what you think.

    Hi All,
Just phoned trichord, they will charge a very reasonable £25.00 for a straight swap,I can't really moan about that. Something I also learned in the process, that my SONY CDP930QS requires a different voltage,so I would have come across problems by just changing the crystal only....Well you live and learn.

Thanks WM and of course T Bone for selling me such a nice CDP!!

The point of a clock 4 is that it uses an exclusive trichord oscillator so if you pulled it off and swapped to anything else it'd be silly. £25 is a good deal though
