Hiya zygote23, i have some of this on vinyl too, but my recently resurrected old deck isn't up to it anymore, so i've been listening to the cd a bit until i can treat myself to a new record player.... I'm only familiar with a few of his, this one i think is my favourite. I wasn't mad about the Disintegration Loops but i liked the collaboration he released with Richard Chartier on Spekk a couple of years ago. Now annoyingly oop, it's a subtle work reminiscent of Steve Roach in parts. Yes this one surprised me, i'm more familiar with his stuff from the sixties but i'm really getting into this one now. I'll have to pick up Tilt and Climate of Hunter sometime soon. Elton.
The Scott Walker one is a beast. Just digitized it so I can have it on my mp3 player when I'm working. Shame the records are a bit noisy though. Everything on BC is worth getting, its all the same but different. The reissued ones recently are good, v quiet and nice discs too.
The Divine Comedy are on radio 2 jonathan ross in a bit, his show is on right now. very scott walker sounding have a listen.

Over the weekend managed to find the time to listen to: Tommy Bolin - Teaser Lucinda Williams - Lucinda Williams and Car Wheels on a Gravel Road Muse - both of 1st two albums
Been playing mostly with the Eastern Electric Minimax CDP this week to get it settled so it's been a mixture of: Santana - Abraxas Philip Glass - Koyaanisqatsi Boards of Canada - Campfire Headphase Deathprod - Morals and Dogma Coil - Ape of Naples Ashra - Blackouts Candi Staten - His Hands Klaus Schulze - Klangart Live Dead can Dance - Into the labyrinth
This last couple of days I have mainly been listening to: Tom Waits - Swordfish Trombones White Stripes - Elephant Neil Young - Harvest & Live Rust Patti Smith - Easter QOTSA - Songs for the deaf The Wombles - Remember you're a womble (kids love it and it brings back lots of happy memories )
The Raconteurs album - just got it today, it's OK, bit too easy too quickly so I'll probably get bored of it. Also.... Patti Smith - Horses Violent Femmes - The Blind leading the Naked
Picked up the following the other day and have been working through them. Some are replacements for albums that have gone walkies or been given to mates, others are new to me. MOst were bargains from HMV. Coldcut - "Let us play" (2cd version) and "Sound mirrors" (2cd version). Global Underground - James Lavelle - Barcelona #023 (2cd) Mr Scruff - "Trouser Jazz" and "Keep it unreal". Bjork - "Vespertine". India Arie - "Acoustic Soul" Richie Hawtin "DE9/Transitions" Fiery Furnaces "EP" The sound mirrors package is quite nice. As is the Hawtin album. I'm a bit confused by the Hawtin one, and what's included though. There's a 5.1 & PCM stereo DVD version, a cd version, and an MP3 version. Also, there's a load of video's interviews and such. Seems quite a comprehensive package from one of Techno's main men.
