In the dim and distant past I used to have the Hughes/Thrall album on vinyl. Used to be quite into Pat Travers and IIRC Thrall was his guitarist. From memory the H/T album was excellent I've got a couple of tracks from it by Hughes live (Muscle and Blood - stonking version from Burning Japan Live and First Step of Love from his live in South America "bonus CD" with Return of Crysal Karma album). Having recvently "rediscovered" Hughes solo stuff (i kinda stopped listening after Play Me Out) I have been well impressed - as you say very soulfull but with great heavy edge. He's also got geat musicialns. And get that Bandolier out of the loft sharpish !!!ATB Jeff
