DAC suggestions

    Hi Guys

    Need some suggestions for a DAC (to partner a Audiolab 8000CDM) looking to get something secondhand (£500ish) and it must have a digital out.......

    i know but worst thing about this situation is that now i'll have to get a s/h example when before i had a new one with warranty etc..

    oh well.........

    How about a midiman superdac? Cheap to buy (£170 ish?) and plenty of scope for tweaking. A tweaked one will easily see off a DAC 20 IMO.

    I would second robbo's suggestion (and I have a superDAC), but the superDAC has no digital out so if that's an absolute requirement then it isn't suitable.

    However, if you really look, you might find some sort of Wadia DAC at that price...

    The Wadia dac's do not have digital outs.
    Try an MSB Link dac, or half nelson, might get a basic gold dac for that, which is pretty fair :)
