i am really liking this cd. after the intro as the first tune kicks in you just know its gonna be a good listen. this is a definitely worth a buy as i always see it so cheap. The recording is very good indeed. Stand out tracks for me are Ladies and Gentlemen and Love Story. The music itself is quite funky with good bass lines and bongos kickin about quiet frequently.

There are a few weaker tracks on it but i have only listened to it twice so they will probably grow on me.

My only complaint is Ladies and Gentlemen is just too short for me.

    hope this helps

    Hi,
I was asked to post an update when I purchased the latest Hybrid Cd...
No bad, but fairly hit and miss IMO. Production is 1st rate, as is the 'thanks to' list, but the music sometimes seems to lack direction.
The latest BT release is far better VFM IMO...

Andy, I have to say I love Morning Scifi (I assume thats what you refer to), I think its top quality. The latest BT album is also very good though, but I wouldnt say MSF lacked direction. But then I might be biased since I believe True To Form is one of the greatest electronic tracks out there... :D

    Hi,
I'm not saying morning sci-fi is bad, just that it was not brilliant.
I do like it, and perhaps with more plays it will become a 'grower'

    regards

    Hi,
Those of you who like the shiny trancy stuff please see the link below:
    http://www.pauloakenfold.com
Oakey has a new re-mix double Cd out...and there is a link to play one of the tracks on the CD back online, although you will need to download Apple's music player If you have not already done so..

If you can find them the Rennaissance mix collections volumes one and two are timeless classics.

Way out Wests first album was superb.

Favourite album has to be Leftfields Leftism, if not just for the sublime Song of life.

    Hybrid are excellent especially TFWA.

    Cheers, Brock.

Have had the oakenfold compilation mentioned above for a few days - and flogged CD2 to death. Right up my street so to speak. Typical shiny happy euphoria/trance but still good - production good also...

Anyone heard of the Koyote label? Someone keeps dropping stuff (absolutely mint & unplayed) into my local charity shops. I keep picking it up at 5-p a throw & it's great. Haven't played vinyl for a long time, but this is a match for CD - superb sound & good music too (IMHO!)

    6 Music - 6 Mix

This probably isn't news to everyone but the 6 Mix usually has some real quality in there, as an example last Friday

Especially the Cassius 'archive' mix from 1999 - quality house, the Armand Van Helden track at the end is mint.
