Bloke was "homesick" so he mailed himself via airfreight from New York to Texas at a cost of $550 (which he billed to his employer). He made the journey in an air freight container at great discomfort and was lucky to get one of the few cargo planes that have pressurised and heated cargo bays.

Turns out that for $550 he could have flown first class :D

It says on there that they're not aware of it happening previously but i'm sure i've heard of similar things on a few occasions.

Wasn't there the incident not too long ago where someone tried stowing away and then froze to death then fell out the and landed in someones swimming pool in Holland?

LMAO! as I type that I realise how b@ll@x it sounds, but i'm sure I heard that. Was in the paper!!! Must be true!!!

More worrying for the authorities is the security aspect. Apparently freight isn't checked as thoroughly as the "live(?)" luggage:p This guy wasn't picked up until he landed.

Was'nt there a Velvet Underground song along these lines about a bloke who mailed himself to his gf, who then opened the package with a very very large knife?:D
