Trotted up to the NEC last night to see Bowie on his second night at Brum.
Support was the Dandy Worhols, pretty good but not what i was there for.
The Bowie gig was excellant, id even go as far to say one of the best gigs ive seen to date.
First title was Rebel, a storming intro and enough to show that the sound quality was astounding for a gig.
The gig consisted of probably a 60/40 mix of old to new, witch suited me as im of his old school.
Played through The Man Who Sold the World, Life On Mars, Ashes to Ashes, All the Young Dudes and loads more of my favs.
He seemed to suss the audience pretty quick, seemed to be mostly people like me, into his older stuff.
He did apologise for playing his new stuff:D but to be honest, even though i didnt know much of it, it still rocked.
Im Afraid Of Americans, well that ROCKED and seemed very apt at the moment:)
The Encore was (to me) astounding. A full 5 tracks straight from Ziggy and back to back.
Five Years, Soul Man, It Aint Easy, Hang on to Yourself and good old Ziggy.
All in all an amzing gig.
Even got to practice my first aid:eek:

Sounds as though it was an excellent concert
I am going to see him on the 25th in Glasgow
I hope he plays the same setlist

60/40 is about right for me
    I like his older stuff
But I must say his new album is excellent

Sounds like a good one, rather pissed off that it looks like I'm not going to get to see him this time around, the new album certainly does sound very good. Heard a good half hour of it in Fopp in Covent Garden last weekend and nearly wound up buying it. Anyone know if it's out on vinyl?
