I'm torn as to whether to order one, or to get a 2900 or A11 later on, when I actually have a tv...

Just like to add one cautionary note; from all the research I have done there do seem to be potential problems with updating the firmware to make it multi-region. A search over at avforums will give further info on this. Firmware to make it PAL progressive scan seems to be fine - it's making it multi-region that it the issue.

If you only want a region 2 player then it's a no brainer but if you want to make it multi region then you might want to think twice.
