I just spoke to my dentist, at least his resceptionist earlier.

 

I had made an appointment for september for a check up and I just wanted to shift it by a day.  I got rather more sense from young Debbie herself than Mr.C. :newbie:..........

The practice will be staying nhs.....Her point was that for a course of treatment it is still quite reasonable as you still just ahve to pay the 43 quid.  My surprise was because I had gone to him with a one-off problem......still got charged the 43....... but the girl threw in the check up in Sept FOC.  

Judging from the other comments I'll stay where I am, I think.
