Just watched the Channel 4 docco on all this (can't remember the exact title) and now I'm 100% in the "accident" camp.

As with the JFK doc, once the facts are examined there just isn't any credible evidence for a conspiracy.

All the conspiracy "hooks" were blown away. The elevated CO levels in the drivers blood could easily have come from excessive smoking (which it was shown was the case on that night). A lot of the other "theories" have their origins in Al Fayed's PR machine and have no basis in fact whatsoever.

The only remaining unanswered question is the white Fiat Uno which did leave some of its paint on the Merc. It was never found and probably never will be. It's contact with the Merc is shown to have been merely incidental to the accident though. The bit I mentioned above about it's owner later commiting "suicide" suspiciously is also bogus as it turns out his particular white Fiat Uno was on bricks at the time of the accident. His death was a bit sus. though but I'd now more easily believe that someone did it to make it fit the conspiracy theory better!

I think it was an accident.

I can understand why certain people would have preferred to see her dead but a car accident doesn't guarantee "success".

Watched last night's Channel 4 documentary too.

Not that I've been looking into the background behind this story that much, so I'm not well informed on the various stories that have been going around in the press over the past few year. I did however also watch the documentary that was on last year (ITV?), the one putting forward the evidence that Diana's death was a result of an inside job within the Royal family itself. I was never convinced by this. Mainly because I don't believe that they (The Royals) could ever get away with such a cover up, I'm a believer that things like this (lies) will eventually come out in the wash and that the truth will prevail.

This is exaclty what happend with Al Fayed, as last night's programme demonstrated, the henchmen he hired and the pepole he gave handsome pay offs could no longer keep their mouths shut. Al Fayed wanted to divert the focus of attention away from his own actions which inadvertantly triggered the course of events which lead to "the accident". The fact that Al Fayed supplied a written statement of his views to be read out on the programm and didn't want to appear and be directly interviewed for the programme speak volumes IMO.

what is so preposterous about an Egyption, after all they are all gerries, mountbatton used to be called battenberg, but it was thought he would not be as accepted.

They should all be abolished, I for one am not sad she is gone, maybe personally, not what she stood for...herself.

Saw the JFK docco, very convining it was LHO.

See the moscow theater doc? interesting...

Henri Paul was probably on a few other things, I think they found prozac in him, maybe diazepam types, too.

You have got to be an idiot if you don't wear your seatbelt, it was her fault.

I find the royal bias quite sickening, Mother Teresa really was a saint. She had nothing to do her work, Diana had millions...where was the sacrifice.
Unfortunatly, if you exhumed Diana, there would not be much to examine, all bones and jelly now. What is the big deal about coke...lots of posh types do it, she was troubled, what do people expect?
