    Alex,

Mine are indeed MF9s and indeed for sale. I'm not ditching, I'm downsizing.

    Tony,

they are a bargain, and would probably help enormously with your bass problems.

Linn Kans, Alex recently told me.

I think they'd be perfect for the room, mounting them in the middle of a huge space would let their raison d'être - pin-pont imaging - blossom.

Just to add: I've heard Alex's MF9s. Very, very good indeed.

I am looking at something totally inaccurate - at present, balance of music-making, money-saving, seems best served by LV OBX and Sugden A21. The Sugden is a great match with the LV - better than the Dynavectors which sound musclebound, yet are much better intrinsically, so long as they're asked to do some work - I took the DVs home and they were so shockingly good with the Shahinian Super Elves that I had to remove them immediately. I've been eyeing up the LV for a while since down-sizing seems much easier if based around efficient speakers. I wanted Shahinians but would need to keep the DVs - the Neats and the DVs are my hi-fi assets, the sources will stay put.

BTW I heard no problem at Mike's bass-wise at all but understand the Merlins, if only to free up a bit of living space.

Alex you are in the wrong space right now, nothing will suffice, I hope you know that.

Alex, given that your room sucks out quite a bit of bass, it might be worth a trip to Cheltenham in the near future. Those BH2's have more than enough for most normal purposes.

Gary, you're right in a sense - since DVs/MF9s/JBL subs don't completely and effortlessly fill the room I've decided to give up trying. Amazingly, the LV/A21 combo fills the room pretty well so long as I don't stand in the sink.

A pair of active 100s would effortlessly fill your sink.

They're not inaccurate enough, even with my ghastly sources.
