Forgetting the children bit for a minute, I agree - I'm sick of Brown saying how Labour have helped "hard working families" - that the F does hard-working mean.  I work reasonably hard (well, okay, I work full time) and my wife geniunely works really hard (and worked very hard to get where she is) but because we have a pretty high income we've seen nothing but tax increases (and are above the level for child tax credit etc) and, being an IT contractor, I've seen Labour do their best to criminalise many freelancers.

Now, I won't harp on about being taxed more as Labour are open about taxing the better off but helping hard working families?  What a load of bollocks - the middle classes have been stiched right up on the tax front.
