I am having permision problems on my IIS server. It cannot open an Access database. When I check the permisions of the wwwroot folder it says read only, which is clearly wrong since I can write to that folder.

When I click of read only and give the folder full permisions and then check the property again it still says read only.

I am not sure what is going on, does anybody know how to solve this problem? I really don't want to have to format it.

    Thanks.

Are you sure your IIS is logged in as a user that has full permissions ? I know that sometimes applications can be installed under different user types so maybe this is the problem. Just a shot in the dark, as I've never experienced this myself.

Perhaps you need to tweak the flux capacitor.

I sorted it out in the end, the problem was that simple folders was turned on which I meant I could not change the permisions. I changed the permisions to the access file and it works fine now.

    Thanks.
