Does Anybody Remember Wharfedale Linton 3xp's ?

    I have just found a pair in my parents house that i used in the 70's brought them here and still sound great for their era, i used to love them with my rotel amp, technics sl 150 - sme 3009 sure v15 mk3, nnostalgia......... nice.

    Yes I remember them.
    Big, fun and room-filling springs to mind.

    Listening to some of those old 70s speakers can make you question some of the 'progress' over recent years.
    We've certainly gained in terms of lowering colouration and better control but thrown out some of life and pizzaz in the process, certainly in a lot of cases.

    many a music of all types i played through that system, the amp was good specially the vu meters but those lintons gave me a sense of satisfaction musically i never forget , then i went moved house left them at mum's and bought my first pair of tannoy's
    makes you wonder you are right about spkrs now days. glad you liked them.

    Room filling...certainly,also used were a pair of Glendales with a 'Rogers Ravensbrook' tuner amp in a 30 feet by 20 feet room, they filled it with ease too.. and sounded great together, fond memories :)

    Not found anything on eBay then? Save a search for Luxman and be patient... it will pay off in the end (well, it did for me, anyway).
